Un poco de historia... ▼

Colmenar de Arroyo and Navas del Rey are joined by a dense portion of Mediterranean forest where lush holm oaks and wild cattle will be our companions, with the western backdrop of the Sierra de Guadarrama.

We will leave from the Plaza de España and will walk along C / del Calvario, once we have crossed the Puente de La Fragua from the 15th century, we will leave the Cerrillo S. Gregorio on our left and the Steeple of the Hermitage of San Vicente (12th century) On our right, we pass the old tentadero and Parque de las Viñuelas, until we reach the Navazás Rest, which we will leave behind without leaving the road. In the area we can see the fighting bull grazing.

After this point, the Navalmoral Route begins, leaving behind us the entire valley that makes up La Almenara and El Almojón. The straights will follow one another breaking their orientation in 90º curves, which will take us directly to the outskirts of Las Hondaneras. We continue on our way, until we reach a door that cuts our way, at which time we take the path that crosses El Chorranco and Las Hondaneras and that goes directly to the old quarry, which we will leave on our left taking the road that borders us With Prado Pozuelo, we will soon see the plains of El Ulagar and in the background we will see the Navas del Rey Industrial Park.

During the tour we will enjoy dreamy landscapes, among meadows full of aromatic flowers such as thyme or rosemary, the song of birds such as the Lesser Kestrel or the low flight of a Black Kite in search of some small mammal, with which to feed.

If your route coincides with the time of twilight, enjoy magnificent sunsets!
